OPAL OAKLEY
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 24, 1915 the daughter of the late Lon and Viola Leigh Southern Blackwelder.
On August 27, 1938 she was united in marriage to Bernis Oakley, who preceded his wife in death on May 23, 1991.
Mrs. Oakley was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ.
Mrs. Oakley departed this life on September 7, 2014 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 99 years, 5 months and 14 days.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Oakley Durbin, Linda Faye Stricklin and Annie Murphy, all of Savannah, Tennessee and "Tub" Oakley of Pulaski, Tennessee.

one sister, Easter Bowling of Hammond, Indiana
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Leon Oakley, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
