Patricia A. Bolyard

Mrs. Bolyard passed away early Wednesday morning at Bolivar General Hospital.

A native of Salem, OH, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Arthur and Alice Parker Bowers. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Bolyard Evans and her brother, Phillip Bowers.

After graduation from high school, she attended Youngstown State in Ohio. On Saturday, April 16, 1960, she was united in marriage to Mr. Emmett Bolyard. The Bolyards recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

The couple moved to Bolivar in 1963 and were long-time members of the Bolivar First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bolyard served the church as secretary from 1980 until her retirement in 2005. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren especially attending their various ballgames.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Craig (Sherelle) Bolyard of Smyrna, TN and B. J. (Becky) Bolyard of Bolivar; ten grandchildren, Shelby Bolyard Jewell, Alyssa, Lindy, Kadea, Abby, Cody and Austin Bolyard, Tanner, Tucker and Abbie Parker; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Jewell and Emma Lee Bolyard.
