Paul Eugene Devers Paul Eugene Devers of Adamsville, TN was born November 17, 1945 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Ralph, Sr. and Hettie Josephine Pulley Devers.

Mr. Devers died Monday, August 4, 2014 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 68 Years, 8 Months, 18 Days.

He joined the U.S. Army in October, 1963 and was discharged October, 1966. Mr. Devers married the former Ilene Gonzales on September 22, 1969. He retired from Estwing Manufacturing in Rockford, Illinois as a plant manager and had owned Devers Bait and Tackle Shop and Southwest Imports in Rockford, IL

Survivors, wife, Ilene Devers, Adamsville, TN; daughters, Michelle Johnson and husband, Corrie, of Adamsville, TN, Tina Law and husband, Leslie, of Rockford, IL, and Melissa Valenzuela and husband, Hugo, of Adamsville, TN; grandchildren, Coty and Dominique Devers and Danielle, Ericka and Ashley Zamudio; 2 great-granddaughters; 1 great-grandson; brothers, Norman Devers of Ocala, FL, Ralph Devers, Jr. of Los Banos, CA and James Dale Pulley of Iron City, TN; a sister, Wanda Nolan of Collinwood, TN, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Devers was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Holder and Helen Dixon.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bro. Holder officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Griggs Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Cody Clay, Ronnie Skelton, Michael Wayne Rumbaugh, Timothy Hudson, Mark, and Chris. Visitation will be Monday, August 11, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 1 pm until service time at the funeral home.
