Pearlean Pigg Kelly

Pearlean Pigg Kelly of Waynesboro, TN was born January 22, 1938 in Cypress Inn, TN, the daughter of the late Edd and Nancy Elizabeth Gillis Pigg. She was united in marriage to James Hillard (Dumpy) Kelly on May 17, 1958 and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2010.

Mrs. Kelly was a retired factory worker and restaurant cook and attended Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

She loved to cook and anyone visiting her home never left without eating.

Mrs. Kelly died at her home on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 15 days.

She is survived by a son, Dan Junior Kelly and wife, Jennifer and a daughter, Nancy Staggs and husband, Tommy all of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Brandy Carroll and husband, Phillip, Bree and Daniel Lawson, Bethany Brewer and fiance', Shaun and Jeremy Staggs and fiance', Jessica; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Leland Pigg and wife, Lillian and Doyle Pigg all of Waynesboro, TN and Howard Pigg and wife, Gayle of Florence, AL; a sister, Beulah Mattox of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Freddie Gray.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by a grandchild, Justin Kelly; grandparents, John and Nancy Gillis and John Henry and Nancy Pigg; brothers, Olian, Junior, John (Dub), and Ernest Pigg and a sister, Iva Pigg.

Services will be Monday, September 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Staggs, Leon Pigg, Kenny Kelly, Jeff Kelly, Tim Kelly and Mike Jackson.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, September 8, 2014 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
