Peggy Inman Smith

Peggy Joyce Inman Smith was born May 22, 1934 in Finley, TN the daughter of the late Jeff and Allie Mae Luna Davis.

She was united in marriage to Bill Inman on June 13, 1967. Mr. Inman preceded her in death on January 7, 1988.

Prior to her moving in with her daughter in Covington, TN, she had lived in Adamsville, Selmer, Finger, and Dyersburg, TN and Palos Hills, IL. She retried from Southwest Human Resources as a transport driver.

She was a lover of all people, never met a stranger and enjoyed a good conversation. She loved all her family and friends deeply. She loved being a grandmother and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Peggy Inman Smith departed this life on August 26, 2014 in Covington, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 3 Months, 4 Days. She is survived by daughter, Teresia Walk of Covington, TN; two sons, Stevie Gilliland of Plainfield, IL, Jerry Curtis Gilliland and wife Maureen of Plainfield, IL; stepdaughter, Debbie Jo Wilson and husband Jeff of Bethel Springs, TN; stepson, Tony Inman and wife Debbie of Homer Glen, IL; sister, Debra Hamilton and husband Drew of Justice, IL; three sister-in-laws, Imogene Davis of Rutledge, TN, Betty Davis of Oak Forest, IL, Margie Davis of Farmington, MO; eight grandchildren, Deanna Reid and husband Larry, Cindy Ford, Eddie Darling and wife Ami, Jayma Griffin and husband Mark, Michael Gilliland, Brynn Forsyth and husband Adam, Jerry Gilliland Jr., Melanie Fortik, four step grandchildren, Sam Inman, Kevin Inman, Nichole Fletcher, Kim Johnson;, 11 Great Grandchildren, 5 Step Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Great Great Grandchildren; special friends, Mary Finley, Sue Wheeler; cousin, Mary Martha Dennis; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bill Gilliland; three brothers, Gearld, Bob, and Don Davis; a sister, Judith Long and her husband Jimmy
