Peggy Jean Wingfield Ruhl was born in Curtis, Arkansas January 11, 1939, and passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, in Jackson, Tennessee at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was a resident of Hardin County for 12 years. Previously she lived in Stone Mountain, Georgia and in Lake Sinclair, Georgia for 20 years.
On February, 12, 1956, in Ft. Morgan, Colorado she married Milton George Ruhl, who survives. She is also survived by three children, Jeanine DeLaney and husband, Gene of Savannah, Tennessee, Mark A. Ruhl of Loganville, Georgia, Lynn Chamberlain and husband, George of Fayetteville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Zachary DeLaney of Milan, Tennessee, Matthew DeLaney of Savannah, Tennessee, and Katie Ruhl of Loganville, Georgia; one great-grandchild, Allie Grace DeLaney; one sister, Charlotte Hammon and husband, Alvin of Midland, Texas; and nephews, Greg Hammon and Michael Hammon.
Peggy actively attended FaithPointe Church in Adamsville and Love and Truth Church in Savannah.
Peggy was very dedicated to the ministry of Teen Challenge. In the past she was a facilitator for group meetings, served on the Board of Tennessee Valley Teen Challenge for over 10 years, and as Secretary for many years.
