Philip McLemore departed this life on September 23, 2014, at the age of 50 years, 9 months, 29 days.
He was born in Selmer, Tennessee on November 25, 1963, the son of the late Ottis Lee McLemore and Oleta Stanfill. On May 28, 1999, he was united in marriage to Alisa Story, who survives.
Philip enjoyed law enforcement and had worked for the Adamsville Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff's Department, Jackson Police Department, Tennessee State Capitol Police, Perry County Sheriff's Department, Collinwood Police Department, and the Crump Police Department as an Investigator. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Police Benevolent Association. Philip loved horses, motorcycles, and giving to his community and his friends.
Philip is survived by his wife, Alisa Story McLemore of Adamsville, Tennessee; sons, Chase T. McLemore and Trevor S. McLemore and wife, Jessica all of Adamsville, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Tanya P. Parson of Adamsville, Tennessee; stepson, Jason C. Pickett of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchild, Jacob R. Parson; sisters, Brenda L. McLemore and Kimberly L. Heis both of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Greg McLemore of Tennessee; and ex-wife, Angela A. Johnson, mother of his children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruby McLemore, Bynum and Martha Stanfill; aunt, Loree C. Duncan; and uncle, Eugene Duncan.
