Phillip Thompson

Phillip A. Thompson departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at the age of 73 years, 9 months, 13 days. He was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on December 21, 1941, the son of the late Percy and Gracie Worley Thompson. On June 14, 2008, he was united in marriage to Lisa Kinchen, who survives.

Phillip was a foreman at Vincent Bach Corporation, an instrument manufacturing company, for 35 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served honorably from 1959-1965. He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Phillip loved to play golf and throwing darts, he loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kinchen Thompson of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Phillip Thompson of Irvin, Texas, Lindsey Brook Davis and husband, Jerry of Savannah, Tennessee, Stacey Thompson Orue and husband, Alex of Indiana, Teresa Osborn and husband, Dennie of Lexington, Tennessee, Jerry Myers of Goshen, Indiana, and Anita Myers of Goshen, Indiana; grandchildren, Tristin Turner, Tanner Davis, Jayden Davis, Jordyn Davis, and six other grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Thompson of Bolivar, Tennessee, Richard Thompson and wife, Kathy of Savannah, Tennessee, Byron Thompson and wife, Linda of Jacks Creek, Tennessee; sister, Jane Todd and husband, Jerry of Savannah, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Annette Myers and brother, Jerry Thompson.
