Ralph Staggs

Ralph Staggs Sr. of Waynesboro was born July 18, 1931 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Bud and Stellar Mae Brewer Staggs. He was united in marriage to Maxine Potts in June 1953. Mrs. Staggs preceded him in death on September 10,1998 . Mr. Staggs departed this life on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days. He was a self employed logger and worked at various sawmills.

He is survived by two sons, Tony Staggs and Vance A. Staggs both of Waynesboro, TN; a brother, Raymond Staggs and wife Carolyn of Clifton, TN; two sisters, Reba Mae Johnson of Leoma, TN and Ruby Fink of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, Shelia Petus of Leoma, TN, Ricky Staggs , Patsy Harder, and Paul Staggs all of Waynesboro, TN; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Ralph Staggs, Jr., an infant daughter, his brother, Rex Staggs and his sister Rachel Clayton.

Services will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Aaron Harder officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery at Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Paul Staggs, Corey Cruce, Mark Staggs, Chris Cruce, Scott Skelton, and Mark Roy Staggs. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Clayton, Randy Lee, and Casey Lee.
