Mrs. Carman passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.

Reba Shearon Carman was born on July 8, 1924 to Joseph Nelson Shearon and Florence Butler Shearon. The youngest of 9 children, she had 2 children, Dwight Carman of Minneapolis, MN, who survives and Richard Carman who passed away in childhood.

She was a life-long resident of Hardeman County and enjoyed vegetable gardening, flower gardening, oil painting and cooking. She worked as a homemaker for many years, then as a Licensed Practical Nurse and as a Nursing Home Administrator. During her career, she was active in Tennessee Health Care Association serving on several state-wide committees. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bolivar.
