LYNN RAMEY
Henderson, TN: Rebecca Lynn Marlar Ramey was born on April 23, 1952 in Corinth, MS to the late Patricia Davis Marlar and Grady Cleveland Marlar.
Lynn attended school in Corinth and graduated from Hardin County High School in Savannah, TN.
Lynn was a dedicated employee who always worked diligently and strived for excellence, it never occurred to her to say “That’s not in my job description”. At the time of her death she was employed by R. Jones Underground, becoming more like family than an employee.
Lynn’s heart far exceeded her 5’2” frame! Her compassion and generosity was known, experienced by all who knew her. Someone once asked if Lynn had children, “Her reply was yes”, Courtney Bingham and Kendyl Bingham Stafford, who she had known and loved since their birth, and all the little ones she taught in Children’s Church & Sunday School and the youth she lead in MYF.
Lynn departed her earthly home August 26, 2015, passing peacefully into the arms of Jesus in her sleep. I feel she was quietly singing “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me “, as the good Lord wrapped her in his arms. She would want us to take comfort in “Numbers 6:24-26”.
Among the many who mourn the loss of our precious friend are, Courtney Bingham and Kendyl Bingham Stafford, whom she loved dearly, their mother, Sheila Hill, their father, Dwight Bingham; employers, Rory, Linda and Travis Jones and dear friend, Tony Lott. Her precious furbaby, Chester, will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Marcus (Butch) Marlar and her best friend, Lawanna Lott.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Henderson, TN Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM, MYF members are asked to sit together.
