Robbie Darnell

Mrs. Robbie Darnell, age 91 of Whiteville, Tennessee departed this life Thursday night, October 3, 2013 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Darnell was born December 5, 1921 to the late Ernest and Edna Pittman Patterson in DeKalb County, Tennessee. She was united in marriage to Mr. Wilburn Darnell, who preceded her in death April 3, 1979, and worked at Darnell Appliance in Whiteville. she was a member of the Whiteville First Baptist Church for over 50 years and enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.

She leaves as her survivors her sisters-in-law, Mamie Darnell of Salem, Virginia and Mary Ann Lazenby of Williston; nieces, Lucy Gibson of Franklin, Janice Logan of Williston, Glenda Kee of Williston and Bettina Voight of Indianapolis, Indiana; and nephews, Bill Patterson of Charlottesville, Virginia, Gordon Lazenby of Cordova, Hugh Lazenby, Jr. of Williston and Otis Ozier, Jr. of Memphis.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her infant son.

Donations made in memory of Mrs. Darnell may be sent to the Whiteville First Baptist Church.
