Mr. Robert Blalock passed away Wednesday morning, January 7, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, Mr. Blalock was the son of the late James Irby and Ruby Bernice Long Blalock. He was the retired owner of B & C Trucking and member of the Middleburg Baptist Church. On May 31, 1993, he married Annette Bell. Mr. Blalock enjoyed his trucking business, working with his tractor, dozier and farming cows. He served his country as a member of the TN National Guard.
He leaves his wife, Annette Blalock of Bolivar; two daughters, Loretta (Chuck Lindsey) Baker of Yazoo City, MS, and Christy (Albert) Harris of Waterford, MS; one son, Gary (Angie) Culver of Como, MS; one sister, Amy (Bob) Duell of San Jose, CA; three brothers, Stanton (Yung Cha) Blalock of Panama City Beach, FL, David (Cynthia) Blalock of Horn Lake MS and Joe (Sherry) Blalock of Bartlett; seven grandchildren, Courtney and Kenneth Baker, Dustin and Corey (Janary) Culver, Brandon and Kristen Harris and Haylee Williams; and two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Brooklynn Culver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Blalock.
