Roger Dale Word

Roger Dale Word was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 3, 1955, the son of Mollie Lavada Bevis Word and the late Rayford Lee Word. Roger departed this life on June 23, 2018, at the age of 63 years, 5 months, and 22 days.

Roger attended White's Creek Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He was self-employed at Word Vinyl Siding for 15 years. Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to Dry Creek, and being with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by his sons, Thomas Bradley Word of Selmer, Tennessee and Roger Edssel Lee Word of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Jennifer Word of Selmer, Tennessee and Virginia McComb Presley and husband David of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Donald Word of Nashville, Tennessee and Johnny Word of Savannah, Tennessee; and six grandchildren.

Along with his father, Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Word and Jack Word, and his sister, Clara Ruth Word.
