Roxana Carol Marshall was born in the great state of Texas - Lufkin, Texas to be precise - on March 2, 1964, to Herman Jackson Marshall and June Carol Wilroy. Eventually, she became a resident of Modesto, California before returning to Texas and settling in Edinburg. Finally, she made her home in Adamsville, Tennessee from which she departed on September 4, 2014 at the age of 50 years, 6 months and 2 days.
Roxana gave birth to her daughter, Sarah, then twelve years later to her son, John. She was the best mother she could possibly be and her big-hearted nature extended to everyone she met. Unlike so many, she always tried to see the best in people.
In addition to her dad, Herman Marshall of California, Roxana is survived by her daughter, Sarah Smith, of Adamsville, Tennessee and her son, John Denney, of Edinburg, Texas; her grandaughter, Ashley Smith, and two grandsons,Andrew Smith and Hunter Smith, all of Adamsville, Tennessee; siblings, Richard Hoyt, Jr. of Adamsville, Tennessee, Goldie Hemphill of Red Bluff, California, Tina Hoyt of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Karen Bradley of Lobelville, Tennessee, Lydia Carver of Bismark, North Dakota, Jackie Marshall of Indiana, Rick Marshall of Houston, Texas, Bobby Lozano of Houston, Texas, Mark Lozano of Edinburg, Texas and her step-mother, Rose Marshall, of California.
She was preceded in death by her mother, June Wilroy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
