ROY EDWARD PARSON
was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi on September 7, 1936 the son of the late John Allen and Maggie Hindman Parson.
On December 22, 1961 he was united in marriage to Barbara Faye Cromwell, who survives.
Mr. Parson served his country in the United States Army and was a retired logger. He was a member of New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Parson enjoyed gardening, especially taking pride in his famous tomatoes. In his spare time he loved to go hunting.
Mr. Parson departed this life on June 27, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 20 days.
In addition to his wife Faye of 56 years, he is survived by his daughter, Hope Hammock and her husband Jimmy of Counce, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parson was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Todd Parson, three sisters, Dora Garrison, Reba Alexander and Virginia Terry and four brothers, Hobert, Herbert, Arbie and James Parson.
