Mrs. Sarah Talley Cherry, age 86 of Buna, Texas, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, passed from this life Monday, March 24, 2014 in Silsbee, Texas.

Mrs. Cherry was born in Moscow, Tennessee February 9, 1928 to the late John and Estelle Ayers Talley.

Survivors include her children, Walter Cherry and his wife, Dale Ann, of Evadale and their son, Travis; John Cherry of Tyler; Ann Flanakin and her husband, Rusty, of Silsbee and their children, Elizabeth and Matt; Mickey Cherry and his wife, Connie, of Buna, and their children, Jared, Joshua, and Jonah; Joe Cherry and his wife, Janet, of Buna, and their children, Lee, Amanda, and Lane; Laura Luxton and her husband, Sam, of Florida, and their children, Mark, Daniel, Stephen, and Meredith; Janice Bevil and her husband, Kendal, of Port Neches, and their child, Hannah; Sarah Cherry of Korea, and her children, Anthony and Andrea; and grandchildren, Katherine Reeves; David Rhodes; and Leslie Rhodes; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Edith Langlois and Evelyn Taylor, both of Memphis, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Becky Rhodes; grandson, Seth Bevil; sisters, Mary Marino and Ottie Talley; and brother, James Talley.

A gathering of Mrs. Cherry's family and friends will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Broussard's Mortuary in Silsbee, Texas with funeral services the following day. A graveside service will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Ramer Cemetery in Rogers Springs.
