Mrs. Sibyl Juanita Bass of Middleton, Tennessee passed away Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2014 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Middleton March 18, 1924 to the late Roy and Dora Russell Camburn and lived her entire life in Hardeman County. On May 28, 1957, she was united in marriage to Mr. James Upton Bass, who died July 30, 1988. She worked in advertising for Sears and also worked for Cherokee Landing and drove a school bus for Hardeman County Schools for over ten years. She was a member of the Middleton First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bass had many interests. She was an artist and enjoyed music, particularly, playing the guitar and singing. She also loved gardening and being outdoors. She was an Avon salesperson, and she liked social activities and crocheting.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Bass and wife Marcia of Middleton; daughters, Shirly Parker and husband Terry of Middleton, and Kathy Carter and husband Todd of Medon; ten grandchildren, Krissie (Shawn) Grantham, Heather (Wesley) Wynne, Nick (Alicia) Bass, Mandy (Jason) Hall, Logan (Carol Ann) Parker, Evan Carter, Ethan Parker, Melanie Carter, Angie (Tony) Davis, and Chris (Amanda) Seever; and eight great-grandchildren, Caylie Bass, Coden Grantham, Landon Hall, Sidney Davis, Ally Davis, Chloe Seever, Laney Seever, and baby Larson on the way.
