STEVE THOMAS
Henderson, TN: Steven Ray Thomas, age 46 passed away January 9, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born August 31, 1967 in Henderson, the son of Martha Kay Rhodes Thomas Weaver and the late John Howard Thomas. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1985. He worked at Grinnell Corp., Owens Corning and currently as a technician for Proctor and Gamble which is now Kellogg Foods. He married Tammy Johnson in 2002. They made their home in Henderson.
Steve was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of the Henderson Masonic Lodge 485 and the Henderson Elks Lodge 2451. He loved to play golf with his classmates of ’85.
Steve is survived by his wife, Tammy Denise Johnson Thomas of Henderson; a son, John Ryan Thomas of Henderson, a daughter, Morgan Thomas of Henderson and a step son, Cory Locklear of Savannah; one grandchild; his mother, Martha Kay Rhodes Thomas Weaver of Henderson; three brothers, Jeff Thomas, Greg Thomas and Darryl Thomas all of Henderson and two sisters, Janice Robertson and Marilyn Antu both of Austin, TX.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Glenn Harris, Joe Ross and Don Ross officiating and burial will follow in Trinity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 4:00 PM Saturday afternoon.
