Sue Brown, age 72, of Bolivar, died Friday, June 26, at Regional Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 29, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Monday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Shandy Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born April 3, 1943, to Jewell and Johnnie Pauline Fish Taylor in Bolivar, TN. She was married to William Monroe Brown on September 4, 1998, was a retired from Lucerne, and she also worked at Hardeman Garment. She enjoyed fishing, needlepoint, cross-stitching, crochete, and reading. She loved her pet dogs and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived all of her life here in Bolivar.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Vandiver (Becky); a daughter, Shelly Cahan (Michael); six grandchildren, Casey Hammons, Chase Hammons, Sam Hammons, Sid Vandiver, Cory Vandiver, and Joey Benard; and eight grandchildren: Madeline Benard, Sid Vandiver, Jr., Brandon Vandiver, Jaxon Vandiver, Kotton Carter, Kolt Carter, Harley Hammons, and Davidson Hammons. All of them reside in Bolivar, TN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her granddaughter, Nikki Hammons.
