T. F. Rich

T. F. Rich of Killen, AL, formerly of Collinwood, TN, was born January 2, 1926 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Marion Harrison and Lydia Pearl Gillis Rich. He was united in marriage to Rachel Nelson on October 12, 1957.

Mr. Rich was a retired warehouser, was a Christian, being baptized November 29, 2014 and was a United States Army veteran and departed this life on Friday, January 2, 2015 at El Reposo Nursing Home, Florence, Alabama at the age of 89 Years.

He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Rachel Rich; a daughter, Carol Gist and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Johnny and Sara Gist all of Killen, AL; a brother, Carl Rich of Iron City, TN; sisters-in-law, Loyal Rich of Cypress Inn, TN and Marie Rich of Muscle Shoals, AL; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rich was preceded in death by brothers, Orbie Rich, Arvil Rich and wife, Edith Mae, Joel Rich; sisters, Gladys Balentine and husband, Ray, Alta Scott and husband, Earl, Nona Sandusky and husband, Jay, Christine Patterson and husband, Aaron and Nina Brewer; sister-in-law, Iva Dean Rich, a niece and nephews.

Services will be Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing.

Pallbearers will be Darwin Rich, Stan Rich, E. J. Rich, Randall Patterson, Danny Sandusky, Johnny McLemore, Sherman Martin and Carl Fred Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Daniel, Cleo Reed, Billy Joe Caperton, H. D. Luker, Henry Hemmen, Marion Rich, Bennie Butler and Ricky Richardson.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 10 am to service time at the funeral home.
