TERRY “BOOTSIE” BOOTHE
Reagan, TN: Terry Ray Boothe age 70 passed away Sunday April 15, 2018 at his home.
He was born April 7, 1948 in Reagan, TN the son of the late John Weyman and Millie Elizabeth Barker Boothe. The family moved to Chicago where he grew up and went to school. He joined the US Army in 1966, when he was discharged he returned to Chester County. He married Linda Darlene Lott in 1969. They had one child, Traci Lin Boothe, Linda passed away in February 1974. He married Sharon Sue Cozart, May 22, 1976. They have been married forty-two years and made their home in Enville. He worked for ITT Grinnell which was later Anvil for thirty-five years before retiring due to disability. He served many years on the Enville Volunteer Fire Department and was Fire Chief from 1990 until 1996. He also served as Alderman in Enville for many years. They moved to Reagan in 1996, upon his retirement. He was also a member of the American Legion.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, grilling ribs and chicken. He was known for building grills, making deer jerky and especially his skill for making wonderful homemade wine. He liked collecting guns, knives and arrowheads. His pride and joy was his granddaughters, especially driving them around on his golf cart.
He was a big “cut-up” who loved life and lived it on his terms. He never met a stranger and he made a lasting impression on anyone who met him. They will never forget “Bootsie”.
Mr. Boothe is survived by his wife, Sharon Sue Cozart Boothe of Reagan; three daughters, Traci Lin Mays (Billy) of Deanburg, Mindy Shackelford (Gary) of Jackson and Amber Jones (Darren) of Jacks Creek; six granddaughters, Cassie Duck, Tessa Jones (Jerad), Ava Shackelford, Vivian Shackelford, Kaylee Shackelford and Baylee Jones; a sister, Betty Bozza of Mifflin and a brother, Jerry Boothe of Reagan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Linda Darlene Lott Boothe in 1974 and a sister, Anna May Boothe.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Glenn Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford - East Main Chapel
