Mr. Terry Hodum, age 70 of Walnut, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Mr. Hodum was born Thursday, October 30, 1947 to the late Roy and Floy Mae Clark Hodum. On Friday, May 12, 1972, he was united in marriage to Louise Hodum, who preceded him in death on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
A lifelong resident of Alcorn County, Mississippi, he graduated with the class of 1966 from Kossuth High School and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Benchcraft for 21 years, retiring in 1996 as a warehouse foreman. He was saved at Hebron Baptist Church in 1976 and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Middleton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to auctions, gardening and collecting knives.
Survivors include four children, Brenda Young of Drummonds, Vickie Simer (Tim) of Bolivar, Randall Baker of Bolivar, and Keith Hodum (Tamisha) of Walnut; his sister, Shirley Gentry of Bolivar; grandchildren, Rusty Baker, Shannon Baker, Kevin Young, Brad Young, Angela Morgan, Brandon Baker, Lisa Baker, Elijah Hodum, Caleb Hodum, and Brookhlyn Hodum; sixteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Baker; a granddaughter, Faith Hodum; and a grandson, Anthony Baker.
