Travis Lee Stricklin was born on June 21, 1945, in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Martin Johnson Stricklin, Sr. and Effie Bevis Stricklin, who survives. On July 31, 1968, he was united in marriage to Carmen Nadine Ortiz.
Mr. Stricklin served his country in the United States Air Force, 1964-68, as a mechanic. He was self-employed and worked in antique car restoration.
Mr. Stricklin departed this life on August 12, 2013, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 22 days.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee; two daughters, Stephanie Dawn Casteel and her husband, Christopher Lynn, and Kamela Renee Hill, and her husband, John Lewis, and a son, Timothy Lee Stricklin and his wife, Stacy, all of Savannah, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Kala Brook Hill, Troy Kelton Hill, Ella Rose Hill and Olivia Grace Hill; his mother, Effie Bevis Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee; one brother, Martin Johnson Stricklin, Jr. and two sisters, Bonnie Marie Stricklin and Barbara Marcella Stricklin, all of Savannah, Tennessee.
