Virgil A. Stuart

Virgil A. Stuart departed this life on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at the age of 93 years, 3 months, 4 days.

He was born in Johnsonville, Arkansas on October 17, 1921, the son of the late Selvin Samuel and Winnie Bea Wolfe Stuart. On May 13, 1938, he was united in marriage to Mildred Ware, who preceded him death on April 13, 1992.

In 1959, Virgil moved to Counce, Tennessee to work for PCA, the year it opened and worked there until he retired. Previously he had worked for Crossett Paper Company in Crossett, Arkansas and moved to Macon, Georgia to found the Georgia Craft Paper Company. He was a member of the Wheeler Grove Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi and New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee.

Virgil loved landscaping, gardening, he was very proud of tomatoes, and loved cars, especially Cadillac's. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his great-great-grandchildren. Virgil was always sharply dressed had a smile on his face and loved to make people laugh. He was very generous and loved his fellowman.

He is survived by his children, Gerald "Jeb" Stuart and wife, Lynna of Bremerton, Washington, Patricia Stimpson of Counce, Tennessee, Maribeth Long and husband, Bobby of Counce, Tennessee, and Vicki Frederick of Bartlett, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brock Stuart, Deena Loeffel, Wendy Worley and husband, Brent, Shari Neely and husband, Brian, Joel A. Long, Ben Frederick, and Sam Frederick; great grandchildren, Adam Loeffel, Tiffany Sutton, Taylor Loeffel, Olivia Stuart, Jonah Stuart, Bethany Long, Hannah Worley, and Lydia Worley; great-great grandchildren, James Sutton and Oliver Sutton; and special friend, Dorothy Foster of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nannie Bea Stuart; brothers, Samuel (Mac) Stuart and Lester Stuart; grandchildren, Tammy Lynn Long and Penny Carole Williams.
