W. O. ‘TINY’ BULLMAN
Henderson, TN: William Odis Bullman, Jr. age 73 passed away May 31, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born April 24, 1945 in the Sweetlips Community, the son of the late William Odis Bullman, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Pearl Gatley Bullman. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1964 and married Patsy Bingham in 1965. They made their home on the family farm all their married life.
He had worked in farm equipment repair all of his life, having worked for Johnson Implement, Henson Ford Tractor and John Deere. After mechanicing he owned and operated Enville Grocery and later Michael’s Sportswear at Milledgeville and Gaffney Hardware at Milledgeville.
The Bullman family sang as the Gospel Anchors in area churches, revivals, and benefits. He was a member of the Sweetlips Baptist Church and also served as Pastor for seven years, and preached at several other churches in the area.
He enjoyed raising cattle and hay on the farm. He loved people and loved sharing the gospel. He never met a stranger. He had a kind and gentle nature.
Mr. Bullman is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Bingham Bullman; a son, Chris Bullman (Karen) and a daughter, Cindy Cherry (Ray) all of Henderson; four grandchildren, Alex Cherry, Cody Cherry, Lance Wells and Kadience Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leon, Donnie, and Wayne Bullman.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Sweetlips Baptist Church with Ricky Tedford and Johnny Bullman officiating. Burial will follow in Sweetlips Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday and beginning at 1:00 PM Sunday at the Church.
