Wallace Allen Parker, Jr. was born on February 11, 1928 in Saltillo, Tennessee, the son of the late Wallace Allen Parker, Sr., and Eliza Wolfe Smith Parker.
On June 20, 1948 he was united in marriage to Patsy Ruth Bingham, who survives. He was a member of the Christ Temple Assembly of God Church in Saltillo, and had lived in the Saltillo area all his life.
Mr. Parker had always loved his occupation as a self-employed farmer, even as a child when he began plowing, planting, and raising livestock, such as horses, hogs, and both dairy and beef cattle. He was very dedicated and hard working, and was loved dearly by his family and friends.
He departed this life on August 2, 2014 at his residence in Saltillo, Tennessee, at the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 22 days.
In addition to his wife Patsy, he leaves behind two sons: Michael A. Parker and his wife Kathy, and Joe L. Parker and his wife Faye, all of Saltillo, Tennessee. Two daughters: Angela Jean Parker Brown and her husband Donnie of Sardis, Tennessee, and Mary Elizabeth Parker Martin and her husband Randy of Saltillo, Tennessee. Two sisters: Frances Parker of Savannah, Tennessee; Betty Ann Magers and her husband Don of Saltillo, Tennessee. One brother, Luther A. Parker of Memphis, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Earl Parker, and one grandson, Clint Wayne Martin.
