Wiley Doyle (Dub) Brewer of Waynesboro, TN, formerly of Collinwood, TN, was born on December 31, 1944 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Wiley Rippie and Lyda Marie Thompson Brewer.
Mr. Brewer died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Maury Regional Hospital at the age of 69 years, 2 months, and 2 days. He served in the United States Army, was self-employed in the logging industry, and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Brewer is survived by daughters, Pamela Keeton and husband, Bobby of Iron City, TN, Tresa Clausel and husband, Jimmy of Adamsville, TN and Tonya Gladson and husband, Don of Iron City, TN; sons; Kevin (Foot) Brewer Derhake of Waynesboro, TN and Anthony Edgar and wife, Tina of Florence, AL; step-children; Jamie Richard and husband, Andrew and Matthew Morgan all of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Brandie Dicus, Cameron Cole, Alex Davis, Chazton Staggs, Dawson Ray, Dustin and Spencer Gambrell, Schyler, and Raven Daniel, and Benjamin, Sarah, Jared, and Samuel Edgar; step-grandchildren, Krissy Hanvey, April and Billy Joe Keeton, Ruby, Kianna, and Dylan Clausel, Stephanie Griffin, Annie Rickard, and Olivia Morgan; great-grandchildren, Kambria Daubenspeck, Decklyn Dicus, Kaysen Cole, and Mason and Ella Edgar; several step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Cook and Martha Sue Dickey both of Collinwood, TN and Gail Montgomery of Cypress Inn, TN; his estranged wife, Pamela Dunnivant Brewer of Collinwood, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Gambrell; a grandchild, Bronica Jackson; brothers, Charles (Slick) Brewer and Wiley Rippie Brewer Jr.; and sisters, Margie Mayes and Hazel Brewer.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Grove Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
