Wilma Leona McGee

Wilma Leona Duren McGee of Collinwood, TN was born January 27, 1928 in Wayne Co., TN, the daughter of the late William Mack and Belva Carden Duren. She was united in marriage to James Grady McGee on December 24, 1948 and had worked as a secretary and assisted her husband when he served as the Wayne County Trustee. She was a member of Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro, TN.

Mrs. McGee departed this life on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her home at the age of 86 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days.

She is survived by her husband, James Grady McGee of Collinwood, TN; a son, Jerry Wayne McGee and wife, Shirley of Franklin, TN; a daughter, LaDonna McGee Weaver of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Thomas James (T. J.) Hornal and wife, Andrea, Colby Jake Weaver and wife Amber, Taylor Channing Weaver, Tanner Chance Weaver, Christian Isaiah Weaver, Carson Lee Weaver, Caden Elijah-McGee Weaver, Jason Wayne McGee and wife, Ashley, Jennifer McGee; great-grandchildren, Griffin Wayne McGee and Grady Byron McGee, James Harrison Trimmer and Maddie Grace Trimmer, Quinn Leigh Hornal; a brother, Duane Mack Duren of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters, Marjorie Graham and Barbara Keeton both of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her step-mother, Annie Mae Duren.

Services will Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Westpoint, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
