Winfred Lineberry departed this life on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, 7 days.
Winfred was born in Perry County, Tennessee on November 15, 1926, the son of the late Fred Brown Lineberry and Macy Inman Lineberry. He was enlisted in the United States Army during W.W.II and was in the 389th Infantry Regiment as a Technician. Winfred was the owner and operator of Lineberry Drilling Company for over 50 years. He was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Clifton, Tennessee and the American Legion in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
On June 18, 1950 he was united in marriage to Jo Faye Westbrooks, who preceded her husband in death on October 27, 2012.
He is survived by his children, Dianne Staggs (John) of Clifton, Tennessee, Janet Barber (Ernest) of Linden, Tennessee, Patti Andrews (Bobby) of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and Steve Lineberry of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Penny Barkley, John Staggs, Jamie Staggs, Travis Barber, Samantha Owens, Jennifer Hampton, Melanie Hill, Lori Nutt, Amy Beckham, and Whitney Sewell; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Sue Prater and Betty Jo Martin both of Clifton, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Faye Westbrooks Lineberry ; brothers, Frank Lineberry and Wayne Lineberry.
