Bobby Carl Benson was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 15, 1948 the son of the late George Richard and Mamie Austin Benson.

Mr. Benson worked as a farm worker with Dale Johnson Farms on and off for about twenty years. He loved farming, hunting and fishing. Mr. Benson had also lived in the Walnut Grove area for a time.

He departed this life on March 6, 2007 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 19 days.

Mr. Benson is survived by four brothers: Donald Benson, Carmel Benson and Jimmy Benson, all of Savannah, Tennessee and Lowell Benson of Waterloo, Alabama; five sisters: Dossie Cossey, Lossie Stewart, Josie Short,
Nellie Carroll and Stella Tilley, all of Savannah, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Highland.
