Bruce Cooper, Sr. was born May 24, 1955, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Leamon T. and the late Ruby M. Mathis Cooper. Mr. Cooper graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana, in 1973. Mr. Cooper was a Funeral Director with Grisen Funeral Home in Northwest Indiana until he moved to West Tennesssee to be near his parents. He was also a musician and song writer, sharing his talents with everyone in his life including his church family. He had a great passion for music.

Mr. Cooper departed this life on October 27, 2010, in Savannah, TN, at the age of 55 Years, 5 Months, 3 Days.

He is survived by two daughters, Heather Cooper and Holly Cooper of Merrillville, IN; three sons, Bruce Leamon Cooper, Jr. and Todd Cooper of Cookeville, TN, and Chad Cooper of Phoneix, AZ; his father, Leamon T. Cooper of Henderson, TN; two sisters, Judy Bell and husband Frank of Henderson, TN, and Sylvia Singleton and husband Tom of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren, Colton, and Kruiz .
