We at Shackelford Funeral Directors have always taken great pride in serving the people of this area to the best of our ability. It is our goal to offer the finest service and merchandise at competitive prices, and we are thankful for the many friends and supporters we have in this area.

However, we recognized that for some individuals, this was not enough to help them in coping with the normal reactions that occur when death comes. Something more was needed to assist them in the grief recovery process; a follow-up program whereby we could offer information and help to those in need. Thus was born the SUNRISE Grief Recovery Program.

Our association with Don Harold Lawrence goes back many years. We have always shared a common bond concerning a desire to assist individuals who are griev- ing. His position as Program Coordinator grew out of this desire to help.

We hope this webpage will answer your questions about the SUNRISE Program.
