Alec 'Alex' Flint, 71, of Saulsbury, departed this life Sunday morning, September 20, 2020 at his home.
The widower of Patricia King Flint, who died in December of 2019 after 39 years of marriage, he was a retired OTR driver, working for WTX Trucking, MS Carriers and Ring Container. He was born May 25, 1949 in Tate County, Mississippi, son of the late Wesley Joel Flint and Lily Marie Stewart Flint and lived in Shelby County prior to moving here in 1987. He enjoyed working on small engines like tractors, cars, lawnmowers, or just tinkering around on anything. Mr. Flint was a Baptist in faith.
Survivors include 3 sons, Brandon S. King (Alisa) and Derrick J. Flint, both of Saulsbury and David J. Flint (Stephanie) of Hazel Hurst, GA; a daughter, April Cox of Warner Robbins, GA; a brother, Wesley J. Flint (Linda) of Kennett, MO; a sister, Nellie Looker of Millington; a close friend, Larry Young (Cynthia) of Saulsbury; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marcie Fears. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).

* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
