Alfred Russell (Mike) Michael

Alfred was born in Tippah County, MS to the late Lena Wallis and Phillip Michael on January 8, 1920. He went home to be with his Lord on June 4, 2014 at the age of 94 years, 4 months, 27 days.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Sue, a son Floyd, 2 grandchildren, and 2 sisters. Survivors are his wife Eleanor Suggs Michael; a daughter, Doris Rines of Senatobia, MS; 2 sons, Ronnie Michael and Freddie Michael, both of Selmer; 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren; 3 stepdaughters, Cheryl Flatt and husband Sammy of Guys, TN, Denise Littlejohn and husband Randy of Selmer, TN, Linda Kull of Florida; a stepson Tony; 2 brothers, Gilbert Michael and wife Sara of Memphis, Sherman Michael and wife Nancy of Arkabutla, MS; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mike loved his family, his church, and his Lord. He was a member of Chewalla Baptist Church and attended until his health prevented him from going. He loved to fish and raise a garden. Mike was a good husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to all. He served his country Honorably in the United States Navy.
