Allen Leroy Farris

Allen Leroy Farris was born May 8, 1927 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Charles Jefferson and Effie Byler Farris. He married Ramona Ann Stevens on January 25, 1953.

Mr. Farris, a retiree from the lumber industry, was a veteran of the U S Army and the Merchant Marines, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and member of the Collinwood Church of Christ in Collinwood, Tennessee.

He departed this life November 5, 2017 at his home at the age of 90 Years, 5 Months, 28 Days.

Survivors, his wife, Ramona Ann Farris and son, Robert Leroy Farris, wife, Barbara all of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Brenda Marie Farris Sandusky, Nashville, TN, Sue Ann Bratton, husband, Ricky, Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Cory Dustin Farris, Shelane Lerae Farris (Devin), Yolanda Ann Sandusky Morgan (Tim), Kale Jerome Sandusky, Nicara Suzanne Bratton VonAllemann (Joubert), Rickita Lee Bratton Thrasher (Kenneth), Mickylie Farris Bratton; great-grandchildren, Madison Morgan, Addyson and Ruger Sandusky, Pierce Morein.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Farris was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Jefferson (CJ), Harold G., Cecil and Guy Farris; sisters, Mary Louise McWilliams, Frankie Bain and Minnie C. Eaton.

Services will be November 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Collinwood Church of Christ, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Travis Harmon and Terry Swinea officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee later. Pallbearers will be Ted McWilliams, James McWilliams, Dan Farris, Gerald Eaton, Joe Keith Bain, Bill Hughes with Eddy Byler as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6-9 pm and Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 10 am until service time at Collinwood Church of Christ.
