Services for Amanda Dent, age 39 of Whiteville, will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Christ Church in Brownsville, TN. Officiating will be Bro. Eddie Martin and Bro. Johnny Watson. Burial is at 4:00 pm in West Memorial Cemetery near Saulsbury. Visitation for Mrs. Dent is Tuesday from 5:30-9:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar and Wednesday from 1:00 pm until service time at Christ Church. Mrs. Dent passed away Sunday evening, January 24, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born in Jackson, TN, she lived all of her life in Hardeman County. The daughter of Sarah (John) Howell Zeboski of Bolivar and Kenneth (Connie) Cossar, also of Bolivar, she was a primarily a homemaker but, had worked for Manpower in Selmer, Home Healthcare and Sav-A-Lot in Bolivar and had also been a substitute school teacher.
A faithful member of Christ Church in Brownsville where she loved attending, she enjoyed time spent with family and volunteering at Hardeman Adoptable Animals. She was united in marriage to Brandon Daniel Dent on Thursday, December 31, 2009.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters, Kaitlyn Denise Cossar and Emily Elizabeth Cossar, both of Whiteville; her sister, April Lanee' (Anthony Sanchez) Cossar of Henderson; step-sister, Becky (T. J.) Hammons of Bolivar, step-brother, Justin King of Dickson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Justin Cossar.
