ANITA ‘BLUIE’ PICK
Henderson, TN: Anita Fae Coonrod Pick age 94 passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 4, 1924 in Ironton, Ohio the twin daughter of the late Earl Bernard and Edith Hazel Bower Coonrod. She attended school in Charleston, West VA. She married Albert Pick in 1945. They lived in Cincinnati for a few years before moving to Napa, California. She was a primarily a homemaker but also helped run their Electronics Store. They moved to Chester County in 1985. Mr. Pick died on Feb. 9, 1996. She loved playing the organ, cooking, eating and being a “cut up”. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
She and her twin sister Juanita were the famous Care All Sisters, Pinkie and Bluie (she was Bluie) seen on television commercials.
Mrs. Pick is survived by two grandchildren; a niece, Patricia Howell a nephew, Buddy Morris of Decaturville and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Eugene Pick in 1996; two sons, Eugene Pick and Michael Pick; eight brothers, Bernard, Francis, William, George Franklin, Sherman, Samuel , Amuel and Bobby Lee Coonrod and five sisters, Marcell Smith, Jean Woods, Lois Loretta Coonrod, Ester Lou Coonrod and Juanita ‘Pinkie’ Morris.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Glenn Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main beginning at 12 Noon until 2:00 PM Saturday.
