Ann Whitman

July 9, 1934 — February 22, 2019

Annie Mae “Ann” Weaver was born to Leonard and Dewey Crouse Weaver of the Montezuma Community in Chester County, TN. On July 9, 1934. She married Frank Whitman December 24, 1955, who preceded her in death Aug. 15, 2017. They lived in Henderson during the early years of their marriage, then built a home in the Old Friendship Community. Frank surrendered to the ministry and they moved to Selmer, TN around 1966 into the church parsonage of Second Baptist Church in Selmer. She served as First Lady of several
Churches where Bro. Frank pastored over the years and was loved by all. They attended Selmer Second Baptist Church, Lone Oak Baptist Church in Walnut, MS, Cave Springs Baptist Church in Henderson, TN, Olive Hill Baptist Church in Guys, TN and is presently a member of Selmer First Baptist Church.
They bought the “Lottie Dillon” farm April 12, 1969 and moved out on the farm in the 70’s, where they spent the rest of their lives. Daddy’s dream was to live on the farm, with all of his girls around him, and he got to see that dream come to fruition. We all built homes on the farm and they were surrounded by their girls and their families.
Ann owned and operated Ann’s Fabriks in Selmer for many years, and made many lifelong friends. She loved sewing and passed that art down to her children. Her greatest passion and hobby was her flowers. Her yard was filled with beautiful, bright colors where she spent many, many hours.
She is survived by four daughters, Vickie Rowland and husband, Anthony, Sherry Miller and husband, Steve, Lorie Tull and husband, Robbie and Cristi Dickey and husband, Brian.
