Annie Kathleen (Kitty) Brush was born August 26, 1928 in Bolivar, TN the daughter of the late Utley and Virgie Sylvester Cooper. She was united in marriage to Ernest W. Brush on October 22, 1944. Mr. Brush preceded her in death on January 27, 2018. They were married for 73 years.
Mrs. Brush was a graduate of Central High School in Bolivar, TN. She was a Customer Service Clerk for Sears and Roebuck Company for twenty years. She enjoyed traveling and served alongside her husband during his twenty year military career in the Navy and Army. They lived in Hawaii for seven years and were living there when it became a state. She enjoyed raising her family, loved to cook, working in the yard, tending her flowers, going camping, doing word puzzles, and could outfish everyone. She was an avid bird watcher, her favorite being the hummingbird. Mrs. Brush was a member of Central Baptist Church in Selmer. She loved life and laughter and lived it to the fullest with her husband and family. She departed this life on April 5, 2019 in Jackson, TN at the age of 90 Years, 7 Months, 10 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Anne Loomis and husband Miles; a son, Ernest Cooper Brush and wife Cora; a sister, Janice Williams; a brother, Lynn Cooper and wife Linda; eight grandchildren, Kathy Paterno and husband Dominic, Patty Jennings and husband Chad, Amy Radulescu and husband Robert, Matthew Loomis and wife Julia, Kitty Brush, Andy Brush and wife Tori, Greg Brush and wife Angela, Nick Brush; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandcildren; treasured friends, Rachel and Thomas Beavers.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brush was preceded in death by two sisters, Eloise Reynolds, Katherine Stewart; three brothers, David Cooper, Thomas Cooper, Harold Cooper.
