Aubery Daniel Robinson was born June 21, 1947 on Island Forty, TN the son of the late Joseph Lynn and Lillian Irene Hodge Robinson. The house where he was born was built on barrels and had no electricity; when the Mississippi River rose, the house floated up with the rising water.
He was united in marriage to Nola Ruth Oliver on July 23, 1976.
Mr. Robinson attended a one room school on Island Forty. The family eventually moved to the Frayser community of Memphis where he completed his education. Mr. Robinson worked on towboats from the time he was 12 years old and later went to school to obtain his Captain's license. He was a member of the Merchant Marine and Faith Baptist Church in Selmer.
