Audrey Phillips Bowling was born June 25th 1919 to Ada Walker and Coy Phillips. On December 31st, 1939, she was united in marriage to Taylor Bowling, who preceded her in death in January 1996. She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Paul) Blackwell of Miami FL, and Sherri (Mark) Lackey of Savannah TN, four grandsons, Ryan Lackey, Patrick (Lechelle) Lackey, Anthony Bowling, and Christopher Blackwell, seven great grandchildren, Rosemary, Taylor and Memphis Bowling, Emma, Ava and Kendrick Lackey, and Lakelyn Lackey.
During her career she was employed as a telephone operator, worked at the atomic plant in Oak Ridge, and spent 25 years at Savannah Manufacturing Company as payroll clerk and office manager. She volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Mobile for 20 years, and worked in the county elections for 14 years.
She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, Norman Bowling, her sister, Kate Stanfield, and two brothers, Thelbert and Rex Phillip
