Audrey Cornelius was born on April 16, 1939 in Shiloh, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jessie James and Lena Irene Franks Terry.
Audrey was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennesseee and loved to read her Bible. She lived in Chicago, Illinois from ages 15-19 before returning to Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and game shows on TV. Audrey also enjoyed doing embroidery.
Audrey Cornelius departed this life on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 8 days.
She is survived by her children, Linda Stewart and her husband Randy of Michie, Tennessee, Vernon "Buster" Cornelius and his wife Bridget of Shiloh, Tennessee, and Nell Mattingly and Wendy Cornelius, both of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Amy Brown of Chicago, Illinois and Claire "Blondie" Jones of Savannah, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jo Seaton, Jane Buckles, Jean Ellis, Onita Wardlow, and Lillian Wardlow; brothers, James L. Terry, O.C. Terry, Jessie Terry, Jimmy Terry, and Buddy Terry; and her beloved pet, "Tiny Marie".
