Barbara Jean Higginbottom, age 81, after two months in the hospital, Barbara passed away quietly on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at The Crossroads in Davenport, Florida. She was born on January 7, 1938 in Marion, Indiana to the late Nathan and Dorothy Winchell-Booth.
She was a woman full of compassion, who liked to laugh and enjoyed being with people above all else. Her beautiful singing voice enhanced many choirs. She loved conversation, and her family joked that if ten words were needed, she could use 100. She was supportive of her family, friends and students, always expressing lively interest in their activities and genuine concern for their well-being.
She is survived by her husband, James; and her only brother, Bill Booth and wife, Stephanie.
