BECKY SHANDS
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on February 1, 1968 the daughter of Artie Mae Scott Shands and the late Henry Edward Shands.
Becky was baptized in the Baptist faith. She lived in Florence, Alabama her last few years. Becky liked to cook, listen to music, and being outdoors, especially at the river. Her greatest joy was being with her family and friends.
Becky departed this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 52 years, 8 months and 5 days.
In addition to her mother, Artie Mae Shands-Stricklin, she is survived by her two sons, Joey Highland of Moulton, Alabama and Will Evans of Tuscumbia, Alabama; grandchildren, Ryan Highland, Memphis Cavner, Lexie Cavner, Vincent Evans, Ashley Evans, and Waylon Evans; two sisters, Daphne Armas-Perez and her husband Iran of Lexington, Alabama, and Margaret McFall of Lutts, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her father, Henry Shands; one brother, Phillip Shands; grandparents, Cecil and Lois Scott; and her aunt, Madeline Shands.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Alabama Hospice of the Shoals, Daphne Armas-Perez, Brittney and Justin Anderson for taking care of Becky.
