Bennie Joe Robertson

Bennie Joe Robertson of Ramer, TN (Retired USMC Gunnery Sergeant and US Civil Service) was born April 22, 1946 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Thomas Melvin Robertson and Annie Lou Jarnagin Robertson.

Mr. Robertson was a retired Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marine Corp . He entered the U. S. Marine Corp upon high school graduation and served 23 years of active duty. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Medal, Rifle Markmanship Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Sharpshooter Rifle Badge, Markmans Pistol Badge, Rifle Badge, and Navy Achievement Medal. After retiring from the military, he worked in civil service duty until retiring from the Pentagon in 2001. Mr. Robertson departed this life on March 28, 2019 in his home at the age of 72 Years, 11 Months, 6 Days.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Robertson, along with a host of aunts and uncles.

He is survived by an uncle, Charles Jarnagin and wife Jo of Selmer, TN; an aunt, Nelda Sue Halbert of Long Beach, CA; a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
