Bernice Leah Grissom

Bernice Leah Ross Grissom was born August 6, 1931 in Alcorn County, MS, the daughter of the late Carley Ray and Elsie Riley Ross.

Miss Grissom was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church of Selmer, TN. She was retired from Alcorn County School System as a caferia worker.

She departed this life on April 30, 2014 in Savannah, TN at the age of 82 Years, 8 Months, 24 Days.

Miss Grissom is survived by a son, Don Grissom and wife Cheri Jo of Michie, TN; three grandchildren, Michelle Miles and husband Eric of Kossuth, MS, Beth Watkins and husband Brian of Michie, TN, Kristi Myers and husband Richard of Gravette, AR; seven great grandchildren, Casey Flatt, Maddie Grace Miles, Jaxson Watkins, Jake Watkins, Jaelyn Watkins, Peyton Myers, Spencer Myers; two sisters, Launa Bingham of Burnsville, MS and Bonnie Lambert of FL; a brother, Edward Ross of Chattanooga, TN.

In addition to her parents, Miss Grissom was preceded in death by the father of her children, Virgel Hoover Grissom; two daughters, Linda Jean Crowe and Sheila Diane Holloway; a grandson, Kevin Crowe; two sisters, Emmie Lou Ross and Lou Lovelace; three brothers, Elvis Ross, Lyndon Ross and Ray Ross.
