Bernice Elizabeth Wilkerson

Bernice Elizabeth Wilkerson departed this life on December 26, 2014 at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 17 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 9, 1936, daughter to the late David Pascal and Julia Griffin Harville. She was united in marriage to J. C. Wilkerson on August 13, 1952, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker and housewife. She loved her family and her animals. She enjoyed planting flowers and gardens when she was able. She also enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Bluegrass and Classic Country music.

Bernice is survived by her children, James C. Wilkerson III and his wife, Ellen, Betty Benson and her husband, Ed, Judy Lawson, and Mary Wilkerson, all of Savannah, Tennessee;

siblings Barney Harville, Sr. of Clifton, Tennessee and Gladys Bass of Georgia;

grandchildren, Angela Murphy, Christy Wilkerson, Tammy Benson, Lorrie Spencer, Teresa Benson, Kenny Lawson, Melissa Lawson, Christina Scott, Emily Harville, Jamie Wilkerson, Michael Ray Wilkerson and his wife, Robin, Michael Lawson, David Jason Wilkerson, Amanda Curlin, and Alana and Brittney Reeves;

great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Laney, Chloe, Natilee, Maci, Tamara, Hunter, Fisher, Caleb, Carson, Carleigh, Destiny, Mason, Katie, and Austin;

and great-great-grandchildren, Brylin, Brison, and Gracelyn.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her children, David Earl Wilkerson and Patrick Allen Wilkerson;

eight brothers;

one sister;

grandchildren, Christopher, David, and Jonathan Lawson;

and great-grandchildren, Jacob Franks and Daniel Benson.
