Mrs. Bertie Lee Bishop passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Henderson Health and Rehab Center in Henderson, Tennessee.
She was born on April 16, 1935 in Cario, Illinois to the late James Hollowell and Dovie Hollowell.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, James Ard; two brothers, Bill Hollowell and Dale Hollowell; two sons, Ricky Ard, Henry Ard; one daughter, Shelita Ard and one great-granddaughter, Madison Polston “In loving memory” 8/23/16.
Mrs. Bishop was survived by three children; Jessie Ard, Florence Lott and Kathy Crowe; five grandchildren, Christopher Polston, Amanda Polston, Billy Ard, Virginia Lott and Angela Lott and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bishop was a lovely woman and would do anything for anyone. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren deeply and was happiest when she was in their company. Everyone loved her chocolate pies. Unfortunately she succumbed to dementia around the age of 70. She fought this for fifteen years until she passed. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson Crook Avenue Chapel, on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Visitation will begin at 1:00. Services will follow at 2:00.
