Betty J. Burbage was born July 18, 1944 in Halifax, NC the daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Lizzie Bell Ruff Strickland.
Mrs. Burbage worked as an inspector for many years at Bosch in Charleston South Carolina. She had also worked at UniRoyal in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She was a loving mother and grandmother. When she was living in South Carolina, she mainly worked but found a fellowship in playing Bingo. In her later years, she took care and loved her chihuahua, Baby.
Mrs. Burbage departed this life on November 12, 2020 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 3 Months, 25 Days. She is survived by
two daughters, Belinda Burbage and husband Henry of Selmer, TN, Sandra McMinn Gunnells and husband William of Moncks Corner, SC; a son, Harley Henry Burbage Jr. of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Gloria Longworth and husband Roger of New Tazewell, TN, Margaret Gilliland of Hendersonville, NC; brother, David Strickland of Hendersonville, NC;
eight grandchildren, Hailey Burbage, Harley Henry Burbage III, Hunter Burbage, Rickey Allen Wright Jr., Christopher L. Wright, McKenzie Gunnells, Billy Gunnells, Alex Gunnells; two great grandchildren, Mayson and Waylon Humburt; three step grandchildren, Tiffeny Johnson and husband Edward, Jennifer Moreno and husband Fernando, Jordan Burbage and wife Jenny; seven step great grandchildren, Taliya, Aryana, Zaria, Emerlynn, Jaida, Chasity, Jamie; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Burbage was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kristy Humburt; two brothers, Bobby and Billy Strickland.
